Stage 1 – CPA media: multi-layered, graduated density, prefilter. The air-entry side is constructed of lofted denier fiber. To densify, the air-leaving side is comprised of heavily needled media and is ink jet printed for installation.
Stage 2 – ME/PT panel filter or CG100 bag filter: The ME/PT panel is constructed of 2 layers of tackified polyester media, sealed together around a wire support such that the tackified layers of each media touch in the center. The air entry layer is constructed of a multi-layered, multi-density polyester with a heavy, nonmigrating tackifier on the air-leaving side. The air leaving media is a heavily needled polyester, densified to ¼” thick and tackified on the air entry side. The air-leaving side is inkjet printed for installation.
For booths with 2 holding frames, the CG100 bag filter is recommended. The CG100 2 pocket bag is made of two layers of polyester media. The first layer is made of CPA media as defined in the “First Stage.” The second layer is an 8.5 ounce per square yard polyester, densified to 0.08 or 3/32 inches thick. The air leaving side is singed. The media are sewn together on the perimeter to form two pockets which are 15” deep. The bag pockets are sewn together onto a nine-gauge galvanized metal frame with a center crosswire to support the pockets.

Stage 3 – XFP-6000 bag filter: The XFP-6000 6 Pocket Bag Filter is constructed of an electrostatic composite pre-filter, melt blown, and spun bound polyester fibers. The pockets are sewn together on the perimeter and seams forming three air channels in each pocket. A “J” channel is inserted into each finished pocket and individually placed into a header. The pockets are stapled and notched together and to the header to insure filter integrity. The galvanized header has a ¼” foam gasket on the air leaving side to prevent any paint bypass around the filter assembly.
